Welcome to Emilia Josephine!

I used to blog over at emjbarker.blogspot.com, however I hadn't posted over there since 2022. I wanted to start fresh and create a whole new blog. I originally tried to create a new blog over at Wordpress, but I just didn't like it, so back to Blogger it is.

My posts on here will be about a variety of different topics. I'm newly engaged, so I want to share different stages of that. My fiancé and I are also new first time home owners, so I'll be uploading posts about that. Alongside that, I'll be posting about nails, beauty and skincare, hair, fashion and some lifestyle. 

Blogging and taking photos has always been my hobby, but I started a new job as a nursery practitioner in 2022 and alongside that, I was doing my Level 3 Early Years qualification and learning to drive. This meant my hobbies got pushed aside. I passed my driving test in April 2023 and my qualification in June 2023, after 15 months. My fiancé, Martin and I bought a house in October 2023, so we've been decorating and enjoying our house. We got engaged in December 2023, so we are now planning a wedding and I want to bring you on the wedding and house journey. 

Now I have some more free time, I want to get back into my hobbies. I've missed sitting down and writing a blogpost. Blogging incorporates the writing and photography side that I've always loved. 

I'm unsure how often I'll be uploading, however I've got a few posts planned and scheduled ready to go and I'll just write and post what I feel like. On my old blog, I put a lot of pressure on myself to upload once a week and would sometimes upload for the sake of it, just to get a post out. This time around I am going to be more chill about it and if a post and the pictures don't turn out how I want it to, I simply wont post it and just start again.
